The Government of Rajasthan established its road transport corporation in 1964. Today, it is the largest provider of bus transport in the state. Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation or RSRTC has around 5,000 buses and 54 depots in the state and 3 depots outside the state. It serves not only cities in Rajasthan but also in the neighboring states.

People who are not comfortable in English can change the language in Hindi in the web. To book ticket online, one has to register his/her name first and create an account. E- Ticket service is available on all important intra and interstate buses such as Volvo-Mercedes, Volvo-LCD, Volvo-Pantry, Volvo-LCD-Pantry, Air Condition, A.C. Sleeper, Deluxe, Semi-Deluxe, A.C. Gandhi Rath and Express.
You can book a ticket 30 days prior to your journey. You can either book online or through one of the travel agents or from the mentioned kiosks. The corporation launches new schemes for passengers every now and then. At present, it has an offer of 50 percent concession to students and also provide discount to patients, teachers and senior citizens. You can also cancel the tickets if you want to. The money will be refunded but a percentage of amount will be deducted as per to the terms and conditions. If an E-ticket is cancelled, the amount will be refunded to the bank account.
